IISER Admission 2019: Apply Online for IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2019
IISER Admission 2019 to BS, BS-MS dual degree programmes will be through KVPY fellowship, JEE Advanced, and IAT 2019.
Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) at have begun the online application process for admission to BS and BS-MS dual degree programmes.
To promote high-quality science education, research, and training, Government of India has set up seven Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, and Tirupati.
Degree Programmes
- BS-MS (Dual Degree)
It is a five-year degree program for bright and motivated science students who have passed class 10+2 or equivalent. Most IISERs offer BS-MS (Dual Degree) in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Earth and Environmental Sciences is available at select IISERs.
The BS-MS program integrates classroom learning with research and provides ample scope for multidisciplinary interactions. The program consists of core courses in basic sciences and specialization in chosen subjects along with an MS research project. This program enables students to pursue careers in academia, R&D institutes, and industries.
Additionally, IISER Bhopal offers four year BS programmes in Economics Sciences.
Eligibility and Scholarship
Candidates who have passed class 12 (2018 or 2019) and are placed in the top 20 percentile in class 12 board in science streams are eligible for admissions through one of the following channels:
Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY): Students with a valid KVPY fellowship for the 2019- 20 academic session are eligible for admission.
JEE Advanced: Students securing rank up to 10,000 in JEE Advanced exam 2019 are also eligible.
State and Central Boards (SCB): IISER sets a cut off marks for class 12 and students who have marks equal to or above the cut off marks can apply. Students can check the official website for cut off marks. Students who are applying through SCB need to qualify the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT).

SCB Channel

- Students who have passed 10+2 level with science stream in 2018 or 2019 are eligible to apply for admissions and appear for IAT 2019.
- Students applying through SCB channel will have to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) which will be conducted at various centres across the country.
- IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2019 will be conducted in a fully computer-based test mode.
