• Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has initiated the online registration procedures for admission to 150 Programs for the January 2020 Session. The institute has invited application for the Master’s Courses, Bachelors Courses, Diploma Courses and various Certificates Programs.
• The candidates who are interested to apply for the courses must submit the online application form on the official website of the University.
• For the January session, the online registration for most of the courses usually commences in the month of November every year and ends in the last week of January.

TRIPURA UNIVERSITY – Directorate of Distance Education Admission 2019-20 – MA programmes

This is hereby notified that admission to MA Programmes for the Academic Session 2019-2020 in accordance with the guidelines specified in UGC (Open & Distance Learning) Regulations, 2017 (as amended in 2018) for the following subjects shall commence from 20th June, 2019 through Online.

a) MA Programme in Bengali
b) MA Programme in Political Science.
c) MA Programme in Education.

Last Date of filling up Application Form through Online – 10th July, 2019

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION:
A candidate who has successfully passed Three Year or Six Semester Bachelor’s Degree (Pass or Honours) from this University or any other recognized University under 10+2+3 pattern or equivalent system of education shall be eligible to apply.

However, candidates who had been awarded Bachelor Degrees under Two Year Degree Course System after 4 June, 1986 are not eligible to apply for Master Degree Programmes as per UGC D.O. Letter No.1-15/2015(CPP11) dt. 17th August, 2018.

The intending candidates shall have to fillup admission Form through Online by Login in Tripura University Website: www.tripurauniv.in on payment of Rs. 780/- (Non-Refundable) for UR Candidates and Rs. 580/- (NonRefundable) for SC/ST/OBC Candidates as Application Fee.

Terms and Conditions:

1. If the number of candidates exceed the number of in-take capacity, the admission shall be made on merit basis.

2. The students admitted during 2019-2020 Academic Session shall be guided by UGC (Open & Distance Learning) Regulations, 2017 (as amended in 2018).

3. M.A. Programmes in Political Science, Education and Bengali shall be governed by the Rules & Regulations for Post-Graduate Programmes in the Choice Based Credit System, 2015 and amendments made from time to time.

4. Admission Fees for Academic Session 2019-2020:
a) Rs. 10,000/- per year (covering I & II semester)
b) Rs. 10,000/- per year (covering III & IV semester) (Admission Fees are exempted for PWD (40% & above) candidates)
5. Students who are not having Tripura University Registration Number shall have to pay Rs. 500/- in addition to Rs. 10,000/- at the time of counseling cum admission as Registration Fee.
