Institutes from Assam & North East India in the NIRF 2018 Ranking List

The 2018 National Institutional Ranking Framework(NIRF) judged the institutions and universities in the country on various parameters. The rankings of the 2018 NIRF list were announced by Union Minister for Human Resource Development, Prakash Javadekar.

Institutes from  North East Regions also come out good but as compared to other regions, a lot need to be done to improve the education in the region.

Pharmacy category

• Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Dibrugarh University at 29^th position.

Overall Ranking

• IIT Guwahati at 12^th rank
• Tezpur University at 46^th rank
• Gauhati University at 61st rank

• North Eastern Hill University(NEHU) at 61st rank.
